“Material Girl” Madonna has stirred up controversy after posting a photo, on her Instagram account, of her 13-year-old son, Rocco, posing with a liquor bottle in hand.

The recent Instagram post featured her underage son, Rocco Ritchie, holding a Bombay Sapphire gin bottle alongside two of his friends, who looked the same age, who posed with Belvedere vodka bottles.

“The party has just begun! Bring it! 2014,” read the caption on the 55-year-old pop star’s Instagram post, which led her fans and other Instagram users to think that maybe the singer supports underage drinking.

One Instagram users commented on the photo saying: “my son was killed by a underage drinker! I know this must be all fun and a joke and game to u…SMH… but as a parent who no longer has her son with her its very disappointing to see the picture young kids holding up liquor bottles its very heartbreaking.”

Madonna later reacted to the controversy by posting another photo on Instagram with the comment: “No one was drinking we were just having fun! Calm down and get a sense of humor! Don’t start the year off with judgement!”

According to reports, the photo was taken when the singer and her four kids celebrated New Year's in the Swiss Alps.

The legal drinking age in the U.S. is 21 years while in Switzerland, it is 16.
