On Thursday, former Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer won the bid for the Los Angeles Clippers. The reported winning offer of $2 billion would be the highest selling price ever for an NBA team.

An attorney for Shelly Sterling's estranged husband, Clippers co-owner Donald Sterling, said that there can be no sale of the team without Donald's signature. But an NBC source close to the negations says the deal was signed between the Sterling Family Trust and Ballmer and is now being sent to the NBA league office for review. Following review, the approval process would begin.

Clippers fans and sports figures, including basketball legend Magic Johnson, took to Twitter to share their opinions on the reported deal. Johnson offered a glowing review of the team's new owner.

And fans used #ClipperNation to express their own joy.

Clipper Fans you'll love Steve Ballmer as your owner!
