An earthquake struck a Canadian coastal island Friday afternoon, with no reported damage.

The U.S. Geological Survey reported a magnitude-6.7 earthquake has on Vancouver Island, 173 miles from Vancouver. The quake hit at just after 12:30 PST on Friday afternoon.

The quake was initially reported as a magnitude-6.8.

Vancouver Island is Canada's most populous island.

No tsunami warning has been issued.
