Stocks are turning in a mixed performance in afternoon trading on Friday, as traders continue to digest weak employment data that came roughly in line with analyst estimates. While the tech-heavy Nasdaq is seeing modest strength, the Dow and the S&P 500 are in the red.

Strong gains by some computer hardware and internet stocks are helping to keep the Nasdaq in positive territory, with oil service stocks also seeing considerable strength. On the other hand, significant weakness is visible in all areas of the healthcare sector.

The major averages are currently stuck on opposites of the unchanged line for the session, but they are all poised to close higher for the week. The Nasdaq is currently up 5.62 at 1,608.25, while the Dow is down 36.71 at 7,941.37 and the S&P 500 is down 1.45 at 832.93.
