Many “Dancing with the Stars” fans were unhappy to hear “Dance Moms” instructor Abby Lee Miller was the guest judge on Monday night’s episode. The tough-love coach has been the subject of ridicule by “DWTS” pros like Derek Hough and Mark Ballas, but during her stint on the show for Season 18, it was Maksim Chmerkovskiy who had harsh words for the Lifetime star.

Miller went into the competition saying that 2014 Sochi Olympic gold medalist Meryl Davis was a “shoo-in” for the Mirror Ball trophy, but she eventually judged them more harshly than any other couple on the dancing reality show. In reference to Miller’s criticism of Davis’ footwork during her rumba, Chmerkovskiy told “DWTS” co-host Erin Andrews, “I really don’t care for anything she had to say.”

After the show, Chmerkovskiy explained to E! News he was essentially frustrated with the guest judge and couldn’t lie about his emotions. "I just answered the question. Someone asked me a question and I answered it," he explained. "That's what it was. ... I can't lie, but you'll see it on my face. It is what it is. My thing is that I am just enjoying this process, so Maks is back, not back, whatever ... you have no idea who Maks is. This is me, this is how I want to be. I just want to have fun and enjoy myself."

With a new “DWTS” feud brewing, Miller didn’t seemed concerned about the pro dancer’s comment. "I don't think it was hurtful to me, no sweat off of my back," Miller told E! News. "But I think it was a little disrespectful to ABC and to ‘Dancing With the Stars’ and to a judge." She added that Davis’ footwork was “horrendous” and accused her of faking a possible toe injury.

“DWTS” airs on ABC every Monday night at 8/7c.
