Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak held a press conference in Kuala Lumpur on Thursday after a Malaysia Airlines flight was shot down near the Ukrainian-Russian border. He announced that no distress calls had been received from the flight before or during the crash, according to the Associated Press.

In addition, the New Zealand Herald reported Razak said investigators will be sent to the crash site to inspect the region and return the black box – which was reported to have been found by Pro-Russian separatists in eastern Ukraine.

All 295 passengers and crew members on board the Boeing 777 were killed after the airliner crashed near the city of Donetsk, Ukraine. No one has come forward to take responsibility for the attack.
