RTTNews - Tuesday, Malta's National Statistics Office announced that the gross domestic product or GDP declined 1.3% sequentially in the first quarter, compared with a 1.1% fall in the previous quarter. This was the third consecutive quarter of decline in real GDP. A year earlier, the GDP was up 0.8%.

Year-on-year, the GDP dropped 2.4% in the first quarter, after falling 0.3% in the fourth quarter.
