Day No.2 of the 2016 NCAA Tournament first round tips off Friday afternoon with 16 games on the schedule. With most of the No.1 seeds playing on Thursday, Friday could end up being one of the most exciting days of March Madness.

It will be difficult for Friday to match the number of upsets from Thursday, since seven teams defeated higher seeds to advance on the first day of the tournament. Four of those teams were favored, however, and only two lower seeds are favored on Friday.

No.9 Cincinnati is favored to beat No.8 St. Joseph’s, and a win for the Bearcats would mean every No.9 seed has advanced in the tournament. No.10 VCU is also favored in their game against No.7 Oregon State.

Friday’s games begin with what is expected to be one of the most competitive games in the Round of 64 when No.10 Syracuse plays No.7 Dayton. The winner will likely go on to face No.2 Michigan State, who takes on No.15 Middle Tennessee State after the Orange and Flyers go at it.

Thursday saw two No.12 seeds advance, including Arkansas-Little Rock, who defeated Purdue in double-overtime. No.9 Providence defeated No.8 USC on Rodney Bullock’s layup with 1.5 seconds remaining, but the tournament is still waiting to see its first buzzer-beater of 2016.
