Mariah Carey recently announced the cancellation of three performances due to her health issues.

On Friday, the 47-year-old singer said her doctors have advised her to rest more. Carey penned a lengthy note to her fans on Instagram, and she also posted a copy of her “All I Want For Christmas Is You” worldwide tour.

The concert is supposed to originally kick off on Nov. 27, but this show, as well as Carey’s Nov. 28 and Dec. 1 performances has been cancelled. The singer will officially take the Beacon Theatre stage in New York on Dec. 2, and her last performance will be at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas on Dec. 22.

Earlier this month, Carey announced the initial cancellation of her November performances. In her post, the “American Idol” judge said that she suffered from respiratory infection following her flu and was asked by her doctors to take things slow.

Around the same time of her show’s cancellation, a source told Entertainment Tonight that the “Hero” singer underwent weight loss surgery sometime in September. The source revealed that Carey has always felt insecure about her weight.

“She always fluctuates and it makes her upset. She lives in denial about it; she has the tags cut out of clothes, so she can be blissfully unaware of her size,” the source said.

A second source added that the singer’s weight loss surgery serves as a “new beginning” for her. However, Carey’s rep refused to comment about the procedure.

Meanwhile, Carey also made headlines recently after she was accused of uttering racist remarks and attempting to sexually harass her former bodyguard. The singer’s ex-bodyguard, Michael Anello, also accused Carey of failing to pay him some money, according to US Weekly.

Carey has yet to respond to Anello’s allegations, but her fans showed support for the singer by pointing out inconsistencies in the bodyguard’s claims. Carey’s fans, who are fondly called “Lambily,” do not think that Carey is capable of sexually assaulting Anello or anyone else. They also do not believe that Carey is a racist.
