Mariah Carey turns 42 today and the R&B diva has had quite an eventful year.

Around this time last year Carey, was getting ready to give birth to twins Monroe and Moroccan with husband Nick Cannon.

Now one year later Carey has almost one-year-old twins, dropped the baby weight and became a spokesperson for Jenny Craig, has helped nurse Nick Cannon back to health after a serious scare, has returned to the stage and is making new music.

2011 and 41 was a big year for Carey, but 2012 and 42 seems to be shaping up to be another good year.
