Love is certainly in the air for Hollywood’s hottest celebs. On Thursday, Mariah Carey became yet another Tinsletown star to get a rock slipped on her left hand after she accepted James Packer’s marriage proposal.

According to E! News, the “Obsessed” singer’s billionaire beau asked Carey to be his bride at a restaurant in New York City. The outlet revealed that the Australian businessman got down on one knee before exposing the impressive 35-carat ring to his girlfriend.

Carey and Packer’s engagement comes after only 10 months of dating. But while their romance might be short, it has also been quite eventful. Check out a timeline of their love below:

August 2014

Nick Cannon, who has two children — fraternal twins Monroe and Moroccan — with Carey, confirmed that he and his wife had separated. “There is trouble in paradise,” the host of “America’s Got Talent” told The Insider With Yahoo. “We have been living in separate houses for a few months.”

December 2014

After six years of marriage the couple officially called it quits. Cannon filed for divorce on Dec. 12 in New York, E! News reported.

June 2015

TMZ confirmed that Carey and Packer, 48, were dating after the publication snapped a photo of the pair walking side-by-side in Capri, Italy, together.

August 2015

Rumors spread that Carey was pregnant with her third child after the Australian tabloid New Idea published a report that the songstress and Packer were expecting. However, ET confirmed the claims were “completely false.”

November 2015

Carey opens up to Steve Harvey during his talk show about how she first met Packer in July.

“We first met in Aspen,” she began. “We were at the ‘Hercules’ premiere. We were talking and laughing and people were getting mad at us and stuff like that. So we hit if off.”

Harvey noted that Packer was “a lucky guy” only to have Carey respond that she feels “lucky too.” Carey shared a photo of herself posing with Packer, Brett Ratner and Kevin Tsujihara from the "Hercules" event via Instragam.

November 2015

After five months of dating, TMZ reported that Carey moved into Packer’s stunning Beverly Hills home.

December 2015

The couple rang in the New Year together, along with Packer’s mother, at the Australian Melbourne Crown casino — an establishment owned by Packer.

Before the clock struck midnight, Carey made her way to the stage to perform a special routine. She kicked off the concert by sharing a few words about her beloved companion: "Spectacular, handsome ... I don't even have words for the man who introduced me tonight. We'll just say the amazing Mr. James Packer."
