Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon have reportedly been speaking with divorce lawyers as they prepare to end their marriage. The couple have been together for six years, but this past year their relationship has been plagued by rumors that the love is lost. The couple allegedly split in May, TMZ reports, and divorce lawyers have been negotiating a property settlement and custody agreement for months. Carey and Cannon have twins, Monroe and Moroccan.

Sources say the final straw was when Cannon appeared on Big Boy’s radio show in March and named five celebrities he had slept with. One of the names was Kim Kardashian, which reportedly drove the diva mad. Cannon even admitted his wife later said to him, “She said to me, ‘Oh yeah, by the way could you keep your whore-ish past to yourself if you’re doing any interviews?’ I was like, ‘Got you.’”

But it looks like the damage had already been done, and the pair allegedly did not even celebrate their sixth wedding anniversary in March. Cheating also is said to have played a role in their likely divorce.

Carey, 44, and Cannon, 33, have been getting into “massive fights over Nick’s sex romps with other women,” and she is devastated, according to OK! Magazine. Carey is believed to be concerned about Cannon’s wandering eye, especially since his MTV show, “Wild 'N Out,” is staffed with models. At the same time, the National Enquirer claimed earlier this year that Carey was getting a little too close for comfort to young men in the music industry.

“All this cavorting around with handsome men has Nick seeing red,” a source said. “He’s about at the end of his rope with Mariah.”

Carey and Cannon began dating in 2008 before making their relationship public. They wed within two months of their first date, and renewed their vows every year until recently.
