Nick Cannon is denying a report claiming he’s attempting to stall his divorce from Mariah Carey. The “America’s Got Talent” host slammed the rumor on Twitter, saying it was nothing but a “lie.”

After TMZ reported Cannon wasn’t ready to officially end things with his estranged wife and was not signing their divorce papers, the 35-year-old actor tweeted: “Slow news day, huh? Going back to the same well. How many times y’all going to report this lie? Tell your so called ‘sources’ to call me.”

The media outlet claimed Carey has been trying to get Cannon to sign the papers for almost a year and that she was frustrated over the delay. Sources connected to the couple said Cannon wasn’t on board with her marrying fiancé James Packer.

In March, Cannon opened up about his ex moving on, telling “Extra” he was happy for her and the Australian businessman. “I think we’re all mature enough and have grown to love each other in so many different ways that you just want to see people that you care about in the happiest situation possible,” he said.

The “Real Husbands of Hollywood” star also congratulated the “Obsessed” singer and Packer in January, shortly after they confirmed their engagement. “Congrats to @MariahCarey and James! May God Bless Your Future Union ... #GreatPeople #GreatCouple,” he captioned a meme poking fun at his reaction to the engagement.

Carey and Packer are reportedly getting married this summer on the island of Barbuda in the Caribbean Sea. According to a previous report by TMZ, the wedding ceremony will be small with about only 50 guests.
