The Seattle pitching continues to lead the team toward victories as starting pitcher Felix Hernandez gave a strong performance striking out 10 Oakland Atheletics over 8 innings.  Despite his efforts, the victory went to fellow teammate Brandon League while Jamey Wright got the save.  Seattle's pitching has been on a roll thanks to Hernandez's fifthy double digit strikeout game of the year and considerabley his best game so far this season.

Yeah, that's right, said Hernandez. I had command of all my pitches and was finding the strike zone. That's me, right there. That's what I have to do, just throw strikes. I felt like I had everything, and that's the way I need to pitch, be consistent like that.

Seattle held a 2-1 lead heading into the 9th, but the A's rallied to tie that game as League failed to record the save.  League leads the AL in saves with 23 but gave up a run for the first time in his 21 attempts.
