Marion Cotillard to be a part of ‘The Dark Knight Rises’

Marion Cotillard is in discussions to sign on for The Dark Knight Rises, the Batman picture being directed by Christopher Nolan.

If the deal comes through, the pregnant Cotillard will start filming in June. Expected to deliver in May, Cotillard will have recovered fully by the start of the filming schedule. Le Figaro reports, “The actress, who is expecting a child in the spring with Guillaume Canet, will be scarce this year. She’ll do a single film and her choice fell on Batman 3.”

Cotillard is the fourth cast member from the 'Inception' crew to join Nolan in his Batman venture.Tom Hardy, Michael Caine and Joseph Gordon Levitt have already signed on.

Cotillard will play the role of Bruce Wayne's love interest who may or may not be Talia Al Ghul. Nolan was also in discussions with Kate Winslet, Rachel Weisz and Naomi Watts for the role.
