Usd/jpy - 92.70 ... Atlanta Fed President Dennis Lockhart said the U.S. economy is almost strong enough to allow the Federal Reserve to begin raising interest rates. Lockhart indicated 'the time is approaching when it will be appropriate to consider recalibrating interest rate policy. I do not believe that time has yet arrived.' The greenback maintained a firm undertone versus the Japanese yen on the rally in global stock markets. Bids are located at 92.50/55, 92.40 n 92.05/10 with some stops seen below 92.00. On the upside, offers by Japanese exporters are tipped at 92.90/95 with some stops are located abv 93.00.
