U.S. stocks opened higher on Wednesday after unofficial data showed Chinese exports topped expectations, easing global recovery concerns.

The Dow Jones industrial average <.DJI> was up 17.24 points, or 0.17 percent, at 9,957.22. The Standard & Poor's 500 Index <.SPX> rose 2.75 points, or 0.26 percent, at 1,064.75. The Nasdaq Composite Index <.IXIC> added 14.06 points, or 0.65 percent, at 2,184.63.
