Stocks opened slightly higher on Monday after FedEx Corp raised its earnings outlook as investors also awaited data on new home sales for June.

The Dow Jones industrial average <.DJI> was up 7.87 points, or 0.08 percent, at 10,432.49. The Standard & Poor's 500 Index <.SPX> was up 0.23 points, or 0.02 percent, at 1,102.89. The Nasdaq Composite Index <.IXIC> was up 2.47 points, or 0.11 percent, at 2,271.94.
