Marriage Proposal Gone Wrong at UCLA Game (VIDEO)

The best laid plans don't always turn out that way. And so goes a marriage proposal at a UCLA game. 

The Bruins were playing Richmond on Dec. 23 at the Honda Center in Anaheim. UCLA's Mistletoe Cam focused on a couple at courstide. The man reached into his pocket with the camera on him, pulled out a ring and said, according to Yahoo, I knew that I was going to do this since the first day that I met you, and I figured now was as good a time as any.

He got down on one knee. But apparently his girlfriend had different thoughts.

If this story seems belated, it is only because the video didn't surface until recently -- after the New Year. 

What happened is every hopeful man's worst nightmare -- rejection. It could have been a fake, but if so, it seems likely that the video would have surfaced before now. See the video below:
