Following a triumphant day of celebrations to mark the 50th anniversary of the March on Washington, the family of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. experienced an unwelcome twist to their day.

A charter bus carrying several of King's grandchildren and other relatives ran into another car Wednesday evening near the National Mall, reports CNN.

According to Park Police, a person inside of the car was injured and was taken to the hospital. No details were provided on the injuries to the passengers on the bus. But TMZ reports that sources said the bus driver was also take to the hospital.

"We were very afraid," said reality TV star Omarosa Manigault, who was with the King family on the bus.. "There were children on the bus, seniors and everything. Everybody was thrown out of their seats."
