  • Over 1000 issues reported by fans and its community will be addressed by the first patch for "Marvel's Avengers"
  • Issues include small graphic fixes to progression stoppers to concerns with matchmaking and multiplayer, animation, UI, and many more that the game is guilty of
  • Although a couple of heroes have already been revealed post-launch, several more are expected as DLC in the months to come

The next patch to be released by Crystal Dynamics for “Marvel’s Avengers” is set to address “over 1000 issues” identified by the game’s fans and community.

"Patch V1.3.0 is our first major patch since launch and addresses over 1000 issues you've helped surface these past two weeks, ranging from several progression stoppers to small graphical fixes," Square Enix said in the update reported by Eurogamer.

"While the focus of this patch was resolving bugs, future near-term patches will integrate more quality-of-life adjustments and feedback-driven features/tuning. We can't thank you enough for your patience and support. Please keep it coming; you are helping shape the future of ‘Marvel's Avengers,’" the statement said.

The patch to address problems on the game’s version for PC, PlayStation 4, Stadia, and Xbox One is set to fix “small graphic fixes” to the "progression stoppers" and everything in between. It also offers a number of walkarounds for other known issues that have yet to be rectified, including problems with trophies on PS4.

Other concerns with matchmaking and multiplayer, animation, UI, combat, and gear, challenges, and rewards are also supposed to be fixed by this patch.

Post-launch DLC characters for “Marvel’s Avengers” will each have their own $10 battle pass. Square Enix detailed in a long post how the game manages gear and cosmetics and the $10 passes called Hero Challenge Cards. These cards “allow players to earn Resources, Units, Credits, and Cosmetics for completing in-game challenges."

The six starting heroes in “Marvel’s Avengers” have already had their premium Hero Challenge Card rewards unlocked. Square Enix says that prevents content gating and guarantees that you and your friends can experience these exciting additions together.

To unlock all rewards for any new heroes introduced post-launch, players will have to unlock premium rewards for each one separately with 1,000 in-game credits.

With the revelations of Hawkeye and Kate Bishop as the first DLC characters for “Marvel’s Avengers,” fans of the game have been eagerly anticipating which among “Earth’s Mightiest Heroes” will next appear to join the initial team of Thor, Iron Man, Hulk, Black Widow, and Ms. Marvel.
