Six-year-old Wang Gengxiang of China suffered severe burns in an accident involving a stack of burning straw last winter. Because most of the skin on his head was burned, the little boy had to wear a full surgical mask to prevent the wounds from getting infected, and this is how he has become known as the Masked Boy.

According to doctors, they can't continue his skin-graft surgery until Wang's damaged trachea or windpipe is strong enough.

In the following pictures, Wang is shown playing with other kids at a kindergarten.
