“White Collar” aired its series finale last month, but that didn’t stop fans of the USA Network crime/drama from voting for the show’s lead, actor Matt Bomer, for a 2015 People’s Choice Award. The 37-year-old TV star won the fan-voted award for Favorite Cable TV Actor on the CBS award show Wednesday night.

“Wow. Oh my god!” Bomer said during his acceptance speech. “What an incredible thing to have happen at the end of a series.”

The "White Collar" star went on to thank the show’s viewers for helping him secure the win, his first ever for his role playing Neal Caffrey. “Thank you for standing by this show… You taught me so much about love and commitment and acceptance over the years and I love you for it. Thank you so much for this. It’s amazing!”

Bomer also thanked his family, specifically mentioning husband Simon Halls, for standing by him while he filmed the show over its six season run. His “incredible” cast— which includes, but is not limited to, actors Tim DeKay and Willie Garson— was also recognized.

Bomer was up against Charlie Hunnam (“Sons of Anarchy”), Sean Bean ("Legends"), Eric Dane ("The Last Ship") and William H. Macy (“Shameless") in the category.
