WWE "Tough Enough" Season 3 winner Matt Cappotelli will undergo a second brain surgery Thursday to treat a brain tumor. Cappotelli had removed a brain tumor 10 years ago, but it has come back and has gotten worse than earlier.

"Waiting to be taken for my MRI and get prepared for my second brain surgery tomorrow. Just found out that the tumor that I had removed 10 years ago has come back much more aggressively and needs to be dealt with. It's a very large tumor and there is a portion that is inoperable. The portion that they are hoping to remove will be sent for pathology, which will determine what exactly we are dealing with and provide insight on future treatment plans and the next steps for the inoperable portion in my brain stem.#John9:1-3," Cappotelli wrote in a post on his wife Lindsay's Facebook.

The 37-year-old former wrestler was originally diagnosed with a malignant tumor in 2005, and underwent surgery to remove the tumor in May 2007. It is unclear where he is having the latest surgery, however reports claim it will be at a hospital in his hometown of Louisville, Kentucky.

Cappotelli along with John Hennigan, won a WWE contract by winning "Tough Enough" in early 2003. He was trained at OVW (Ohio Valley Wrestling) to continue his training and work on his promo skills. In OVW, Cappotelli formed a fan favorite tag team known as The Thrill Seekers with Johnny Jeter. However, the discovery of the malignant tumor forced him to end his fighting career.

Cappotelli's health issues also surrounded around several of his injuries he faced during his fighting career. One of the former "Tough Enough" trainers, Hardcore Holly, worked stiff on the unsuspecting Cappotelli during a practice match, leaving him bruised and bloody. In 2004, Holly accidentally concussed Cappotelli while wrestling him at a live event.

The following year, Cappotelli suffered a broken fibula during a match against The Blond Bombers (Chad and Tank Toland) at an Ohio Valley Wrestling (OVW) event in Elizabethtown, Kentucky. The incident forced him to stay out of fights for approximately eight weeks.

In 2004, Cappotelli won the OVW Heavyweight Championship by defeating his former tag team partner, Johnny Jeter. In 2006, he became Pro Wrestling Illustrated's Most Inspirational Wrestler of the Year.

"Prayers go out to @ovwrestling trainer Matt Cappotelli as his brain tumor has came back after 10 years! Wonderful guy wish him the best," one-time OVW Television Champion Dylan Bostic wrote on Twitter.

Several of Cappotelli's fans took to Twitter to wish the fighter a speedy recovery.
