RTTNews - Consumer prices in Mauritius climbed 6.1% year-on-year in July, slower than a 9.1% rise in the same month last year, the Central Statistics Office said Friday. In June, consumer prices were up 6.9%.

Month-on-month, consumer prices were up 0.6% in July, with transport showing the fastest price rise of 2.4%.

For the financial year 2008-09, the headline inflation rate was 6.9%.
