RTTNews - Tuesday, Mauritius Central Statistical Office announced that the trade deficit stood at 11.130 million rupees in the first quarter, which is 27.7% lower than the previous quarter.

Exports decreased 28.4% sequentially to 14,262 million rupees in the first quarter, while imports declined 28.1% to 25,392 million rupees.

On an annual basis, exports and imports dropped by 0.3% and 17.5% respectively, in the first quarter.
