Eccentric media figures Mark Cuban and Charlie Sheen may be teaming up.

The billionaire has recently stated that he's in discussions with Sheen about hosting a talk show or starring in a reality show on HDNet, a cable network that broadcasts exclusively on high definition.

We're trying to decide, Cuban said, in an ESPN.com report. Right now, we're taping a lot of different things that he's doing and we'll try to figure it out. It's still not 100 percent certain.

We'll do something together, but it's not certain it will be a show. It'll come down to what he wants do and what his situation is. We'll just figure it out from there, but it's a unique opportunity, I'll say that.

Sheen's media stock has skyrocketed recently with his frequent egotistical rantings.

Cuban has already introduced Mavericks' fans to the wonders of Charlie Sheen. The promotions department has used Sheen their creative productions.

According to ESPN.com, there have been clips from Sheen interviews played over the loudspeakers during the Mavericks-Grizzlies game at American Airlines Center.

Dallas forward Dirk Nowitzki recently shot a video to promote his bobble head night that features him flexing while staring in a mirror and ends with Nowitzki deadpanning, Boom. Winning.

Sheen and Cuban appear to like attention, so there's potential for this partnership to be fascinating and successful.

Or as Sheen put it on ABC's 20/20 when discussing his daily life, and perhaps also analogous to the Mavericks who have the second-best record in the Western Conference: It's perfect. It's awesome. Every day is just filled with just wins. All we do is put wins in the record books. We win so radically in our underwear before our first cup of coffee, it's scary. People say it's lonely at the top, but I sure like the view.
