May is a rough month for TV fans. Dozens of their favorite shows will end, but luckily, we have a handy guide to dates for the May TV finales.

It seems everyone will be saying goodbye, at least temporarily, to a show they love. Comic book fans will watch all of the DC TV shows go on hiatus for summer, including the one that launched them all. “Arrow” Season 5 will finally wrap up the flashbacks and have a showdown with Prometheus in the finale. Oliver will have to handle an old enemy, too. Deathstroke (Manu Bennett) will return for the final Season 5 episode.

Fans of procedurals will be losing shows as well. “Criminal Minds” Season 12 will end with Derek Morgan (Shemar Moore) returning to help catch Mr. Scratch. After much concern about cancellation, fans of “Criminal Minds” can rest easy knowing that the finale is not a series ender. The show was renewed for Season 13.

Comedy fans aren’t safe from season finales either. Longtime favorites like “The Big Bang Theory” and “Mom” will have season finales as will freshman sitcoms like “American Housewife” and “Kevin Can Wait.”
