Following Paul Walker’s death on Saturday, Nov. 30, a Facebook post from the actor's 15-year-old daughter, Meadow, began circulating on the Web. While the post appeared to be a touching tribute to her father, reports are now revealing that Meadow’s Facebook account was actually a hoax.

According to TMZ, the fake Meadow Facebook page was discovered by Walker’s reps, who had the social media site immediately remove it. However, the fake text is still out there:

“When I was little, he taught me to walk, taught me to smile, and taught me never to give up. I loved him even before I knew what love was. He was my hero, my REAL life hero! He will always be in my heart! It brings tears in my eyes as I write this!”

Meadow Walker was Paul Walker’s only child. The “Fast & Furious” star had his daughter with ex-partner Rebecca McBrain in November 1998, when he was 25. McBrain and her daughter previously lived in Hawaii, but they moved to California a couple of years ago so that the teen could be closer to her father. Reports are now surfacing that Meadow accompanied her father to the charity event for Reach Out Worldwide in Santa Clarita, Calif., on Saturday, shortly after which the fatal car accident occurred.

Jim Torp, a witness at the scene, told E! News that Walker and his friend Roger Rodas were getting ready to park Rodas' 2005 Porsche Carrera GT when they “decided to take it for a joyride.”

Torp explained that they kept Walker’s daughter “off to the side, so she wouldn’t know what was going on until they really know what had happened.” However, the witness did reveal that the 15-year-old “was in pieces.”

The official Facebook page for Paul Walker confirmed his death late Saturday evening when they posted a heartbreaking message:

"It is with a truly heavy heart that we must confirm that Paul Walker passed away today in a tragic car accident while attending a charity event for his organization Reach Out Worldwide. He was a passenger in a friend's car, in which both lost their lives. We appreciate your patience as we too are stunned and saddened beyond belief by this news. Thank you for keeping his family and friends in your prayers during this very difficult time. We will do our best to keep you apprised on where to send condolences. - #TeamPW"

Autopsies on Paul Walker and Roger Rodas are currently delayed due to the bodies being “unidentifiable.” The N.Y. Daily News reports that the L.A. County coroner is waiting for dental records.
