A Minnesota high school student hit the headlines on Thursday when porn star Megan Piper agreed to be his date on prom night.

Mike Stone, 18, took to Twitter after being rejected by his female classmates. He may have just been trying his luck while asking 600 celebrities on Twitter to be his prom date. And even though Megan Piper did agree to his request, it seems that fortune is not really in his favor.

The teenager is not being allowed to take the porn star to his senior prom date, FoxNews.com reported.

Stone, who hails from Oakdale, Minn., has his prom night on May 12 at Tartan High School. Out of all the celebrities he approached, two actresses, Emy Reyes and Megan Piper responded to his request.

While Reyes said, I would love tooo[sic], and Piper replied saying: If you can get me there, then yes.

But in spite of the teenager being so close to his dream date, the school district officials have a problem with it.

Patty Phillips, superintendent of the North St. Paul-Maplewood-Oakdale School District, told FoxNews.com in an email that Piper's appearance in the school would be inconsistent with two district policies regarding visitors allowed in the school premises.

According to the policy, any individual or group can be denied entry to those events if the visit is not in the best interest of the district, district spokeswoman Jennifer McNeil told FoxNews.com.

I didn't expect this to get blown up. It's great. Everyone at my school is supporting me, Stone told ABC news.

According Stone's Mother, he has special needs and didn't tell her about his porn star date at first.

I was a little upset at first and I feel like I'm on my kids and know what they're up to, Diven Stone told ABC news. But I support him and I don't understand what her profession has to do with anything.

Megan Piper also is pretty upset with the school especially since she herself never attended her own high school prom.

I can make this kid's dream prom experience come true and get a chance to go to prom, she told ABCNews.com. It was a win for both of us.

Celebrities being asked out for dates have happened earlier too. Actress Mila Kunis attended the Marine Corps Ball in Greenville, N.C., after Sgt. Scott Moore asked her to be his date via a YouTube video in November.

Singer Taylor Swift was asked via Facebook to be the prom date of a New Jersey high school student Kevin McGuire. Since the singer could not make it, she asked the cancer battler to join her at the Academy of Country Music Awards in Las Vegas instead on April 1.
