Meghan Markle's is making a statement with her outfit when she visited Cardiff.

The "Suits" actress and Prince Harry carried out their second royal engagement for the year. Markle arrived in Cardiff in a black ensemble, which according to Daily Mail was "calculated to make a statement."

Markle's ensemble was almost entirely of British clothing brands. She looked chic and fab in it that seemed to showcase the causes she is currently supporting.

First, the "Horrible Bosses" star wrapped herself up in a £1,350 ($1875.96) Stella McCartney robe. The brand is pro-animal and is against using fur and leather.

Markle paired it with black skinny jeans from Welsh brand Hiut Denim. The outfit speaks for "diplomatic dressing."

Prince Harry's fiancée accessorized with a £295 ($409.93) Mini Venice from DeMellier London. Mireia Llusia-Lindh founded the brand with this in mind: "functional and attainable, as well as socially conscious."

In addition, the brand supports lifesaving vaccines and treatments to save children's lives. It has a charity called A Bag, A Life which gives a percentage of the sales to the organization in every bag they sold.

Also, the princess in waiting opted to wear mismatched earrings. One is an arrow-shaped by Zofia Day that promotes giving back to the community and empowering women. The other one is a triple star climber which is from Gabriela Artigas. It was designed with a "conscious and respectful outlook towards the environment."

Surprisingly, Markle opted to keep her messy bun for her hairstyle. The "Horrible Bosses" star was criticized for it when she visited Brixton last week with some loose strands framing her face. In fact, one referred to it as an "untidy topknot." Another asked when would Markle hire a hairstylist and wardrobe coach.

In addition, Markle opted to repeat her choice of a black ensemble which is unlikely for a royal as they have a "no-black" dress code. The elite family reserves this color for "somber occasions."

"Meghan is already showing us that she is carving her own path as a royal. She is pushing the royal envelope with her style choices," Christine Ross, Meghan's Mirror editor, told E! News. "Royalty almost never wears black, except for somber occasions, so today's look was a surprise for royal watchers. The no-black rule is followed by every major royal woman around the world. Meghan looked very chic and professional, but I don't imagine we will see much more black after the wedding."
