Meghan Markle is satisfied with the choices she has made concerning her acting career.

Markle got her biggest break when she joined USA Network's "Suits," so fans are disheartened that she's leaving the show following the announcement of her engagement to Prince Harry. But for the actress, she doesn't feel that she's giving up anything by following her heart.

"I don't see it as giving anything up. I just see it as a change," Markle told BBC (via E! News). "It's a new chapter, right? And also, keep in mind, I've been working on ['Suits'] for seven years. We were very, very fortunate to have that sort of longevity on a series…I've ticked this box, and I feel very proud of the work I've done there, and now it's time to work with [Harry] as a team."

This may be a long time coming as prior to meeting Prince Harry, the "Horrible Bosses" star was reportedly already planning to quit her acting career. She wanted to focus on other things that she is passionate about.

"Even before Harry, she was starting to think about transitioning out of acting," an insider said earlier this year. "She wants to focus on other worldly endeavors she is passionate about, like her philanthropy."

Markle is dedicated to the cause of empowering women. In January, she spent a week in India on a World Vision Canada humanitarian mission that helped impoverished women. Markle also knows how to blend well with the crowd, which will be very helpful when she becomes a royal as her future engagements will probably involve meeting people from different walks of life.

"Meghan is the darling of Toronto," the source added. "Locals love her so much and she really engaged herself into the community when she moved here for 'Suits' years ago. The city basically adopted her and she fit right in. She's just not as accessible now but she's always been so kind and genuinely so sweet to people around town."

However, there are still some who believe that Markle should not quit her acting career just for marriage, including Prince Edward's ex, Ruthie Henshall. According to the five-time Olivier Award nominee, if she would have to make a choice, she would not leave her first love, which is acting. But this might depend on the individual's priorities, and clearly, Markle is done with acting.

Meanwhile, her "Suits" family is supportive of Markle's decision. The network recently wished her the best as she takes her relationship with Prince Harry to the next level.

"Meghan has been a member of our family for seven years and it has been a joy to work with her. We want to thank her for her undeniable passion and dedication to 'Suits,' and we wish her the very best," USA Network said in a statement.
