Meghan Markle is “incredibly touched” by the warm reception she received from the United Kingdom residents ever since it was announced that she and Prince Harry are engaged.

“People have been so supportive. And the overall reaction has been really warm. She has been really touched by the incredible reception. Everything is still really new,” a source told US Weekly.

After they announced their engagement on Nov. 27, Markle joined Prince Harry on their first public engagement in Nottingham on Dec. 1. While there, Markle and Prince Harry were welcomed by cheers and applauses from the massive crowd.

At present, Markle is in Los Angeles with her mom, Doria Radlan, but she will soon return to London to reunite with her fiancé. Markle and Prince Harry are expected to start planning their wedding soon, but a source revealed that the couple will only start prepping for their big day early next year.

“She’s just enjoying her new environment and getting accustomed to her new life in London,” the source said.

Before marrying Prince Harry, Markle still has a lot of things to do. She will be baptized in church, and she will also become a British citizen.

For the holidays, Markle will be spending three days with Prince Harry and his entire family. After their celebrations, Markle and Prince Harry will jet out to an undisclosed location for a short vacation.

“They plan to go on vacation together for more than a week. Expect them to come back tanned, refreshed and ready to take on a very busy 2018,” another source said.

Meanwhile, after Markle and Prince Harry tie the knot in May 2018, the couple will be living in the prince’s small apartment in Nottingham. They are expected to eventually move into a bigger home once their family starts growing.

At the moment, Prince Harry and Markle are not yet planning to have a baby, but they are both open to having kids sometime in the future.
