Melissa McCarthy showed off her over 70 pounds weight loss in a bright pink dress at the Elle’s Women in Comedy event in Los Angeles Wednesday. The comedienne along with her “Ghostbusters” co-stars featured on the cover of the magazine’s first “Women in Comedy” issue. The 45-year-old, who has her own clothing line Melissa McCarthy Seven7, opted for a custom dress by Judy B. Swartz.

The “Ghostbusters” is up for a July release. Melissa is currently on a promotional tour ahead of the release of the highly anticipated film reboot. The actress spent some quality time with her co-stars including Kristen Wiig, Kate McKinnon and Leslie Jones.

Melissa’s neoprene cocktail dress featured dramatic belle sleeves and a round neck. She accessorized with sparkling Neil Lane jewelry including an oversize ring. She paired her look with Vince Camuto floral pointed-toe pumps.

The actress’s flawless make-up consisted of pink lipstick, peach blush and eyeshadow, while she flaunted her matching manicure. Her brunette tresses were kept in a canter part and styled in beachy waves. Melissa also carried a tan Halogen clutch.

Meanwhile, she looked radiant as she headed for an appearance on “Jimmy Kimmel Live.” Melissa looked to be in high spirits as she showed off her slimmer frame and pulled a series of hilarious facial expressions. The secret to the comedienne’s weight loss is her high protein and low-carb diet.

“No trick, nothing to tell, just super boring life. You bring it real down, you don’t do anything fun and you go to bed at 7:30 — that’s the trick,” Melissa told Extra. She added that putting less pressure on her has paid off.

Melissa said she stopped worrying about it and felt things loosen up. Not being nervous and rigid had worked for her. The comedienne who is married to Ben Falcone plays the character of Abby Yates in “Ghostbusters” reboot.
