Melissa Rycroft suffered head and neck injuries during a “Dancing with the Stars” rehearsal, her publicist said. She had to be taken to the hospital but was later released on Sunday.

Rycroft is one of the eight contestants remaining on this season’s “Dancing with the Stars” and it is unclear if she will be able to perform on the two coming shows. Rycroft is a former Dallas Cowboys cheerleader and had appeared on “The Bachelor” and finished third in the eighth season of “Dancing with the Stars.” The fifteenth season of “Dancing with the Stars” features past contestants and is billed as an “all-star” season.

According to E! News, Rycroft’s representative said, "Melissa was taken by ambulance to a local hospital where she is currently being examined." Rycroft went to the hospital with her husband, Tye Strickland, and her dance partner on the show, Tony Dovolani. E! News later confirmed that Rycroft had been released from the hospital.

The injuries occurred on Sunday during rehearsals for the “Team Dance” segment of Monday’s episode. According to Reality TV World, Rycroft and Dovolani were scheduled to perform the “Team Dance” Monday and the individual routine on Tuesday’s show. There were no scheduled eliminations this week, and the scheduling of “Dancing with the Stars” changed due to Monday night’s presidential debate.

Rycroft is reportedly doing well. Tweeting on Monday, Rycroft said, “thank you so much for sending your prayers..still seeing and talking to docs this AM, will give more details soon, but thanks for your love!”

It is unclear whether Rycroft will be able to perform with Dovolani for the two shows left. Dovolani tweeted earlier Monday, “Thank you all for your prayers @MelissaRycroft 's health is the most important to me! So fingers crossed that she's ok.”
