A memorial was on Tuesday held for the four officers slain in Lakewood, Washington nine days ago.

More than 20,000 attended the memorial at the Tacoma Dome and many more followed the memorial online or on Television.

The officers were in a coffee shop preparing for their shift when a gunman entered and cold bloodedly opened fire on them killing all of them on the scene.

The slain officers were in uniform and were wearing bulletproof vests when shot. They were pronounced dead on the scene.

The officers were identified as Sergeant Mark Renninger, 39; Ronald Owens, 37; Tina Griswald, 40; and Greg Richards, 42.
