Merck extends Vioxx settlement deadline to end of June

Merck & Co. said late Thursday that it has extended the deadline to June 30 for eligible claimants who are seeking to be included in a $4.85 billion settlement over Vioxx, a painkiller that the company voluntarily pulled off the market in 2004
