The National League representative in the 2015 World Series will be a big-market team without a recent history of winning. It’s been nearly 30 years since the New York Mets won the Fall Classic and over a century for the long-suffering Chicago Cubs.

With so much on the line, ticket prices for the 2-3-2 series have soared. According to TiqIQ.com, which monitors several secondary market sites, this Mets-Cubs matchup is the most expensive championship series the site has tracked in the last five years. The Cubs hold the highest-priced home-ticket average of any team in that span, with an average price at $1,218.42 for the three games at Wrigley Field. The 2015 Mets hold the second spot at $832.14 for their potential four games at home.

Record-breaking numbers aside, just entering the building at the cheapest price is no bargain. As of Saturday morning, the least expensive ticket on StubHub for Game 1 at Citi Field is $160, and that’s for Standing Room Only. Potential buyers can expect to pay $175 and up for an actual seat inside the stadium. The priciest seats in the house for Game 1 is listed at $11,000.

If a lengthy series shifts back to New York for potential Games 6 and 7, ticket prices could skyrocket even more. For the time being, a Standing Room Only ticket at Citi Field will cost at least $350 while some seats for a decisive Game 7 are listed as high as $20,000.

For Game 3 in Chicago, Standing Room only tickets start at $235 and go up. Bleacher seats are going for $400 and up the least seat in Wrigley on Tuesday night without an obstructed view costs $320. There are several listings with tickets costing over $10,000 with the most astronomical being two tickets down the right field line priced at $100,000 each. If there is a Game 5, it will be Chicago’s final home game of the series. The highest listing of the entire NLCS currently is for two Outfield Upper Deck Reserved seats at Wrigley for Game 5, priced at a cool $1,000,000.
