When your father is U.S. swimmer Michael Phelps, the most decorated Olympian of all time, you’re bound to be famous. The American Merman was the star of the event when he won two gold medals Tuesday, but his adorable 3-month-old son, Boomer, stole a little of his thunder. Phelps made the world gush when he kissed his son at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro — and baby Phelps' notoriety instantly rose.

Baby Boomer and his mother, Phelps’ fiancée Nicole Johnson, have been at every meet and enjoyed them all. “Boomer was being very chill and didn’t seem to cry at all,” Us Weekly senior reporter Cara Sprunk told the publication. “When Michael came out, they all jumped up and Nicole made sure Boomer could see Michael.”

Boomer’s budding celebrity status can be proven through his Instragram account, which is run by his mother. Boomer has nearly 200,000 followers. “Thanks for sharing your gold medal with me dad!!! I love you and can't wait til I get to see you,” a caption from Monday read. “I'm ready to see some more fast swimming!!Go get em daddy!!! Go get em USA!!!” another said.

Boomer got his unique name because Phelps wanted “something different and something cool,” the Olympian said on a Facebook Live chat, according to Sports Illustrated. The baby’s middle name, Robert, is an ode to Phelps’ coach, Bob Bowman, and his grandmother, Roberta. Bowman started to coach Phelps when he was 11 years old.

Is baby Phelps going to follow in his father’s footsteps? There’s a chance. “@coach_bowman I'm ready to go after my daddy retires #teamusa #dreams,” a caption from Sunday read.

Though Phelps and Johnson have not yet married, they will reportedly be planning a wedding after the Olympics are over.
