Rep. Michele Bachmann, R-Minn., announced her decision not to run for re-election in 2014 Wednesday morning. A conservative politician, Bachmann is known for her controversial stances regarding global warming and gay marriage, and her leadership of the tea party. She's also known for the many gaffes made throughout her career, including quoting incorrect facts regarding history, such as the Founding Fathers “[working] tirelessly until slavery was no more in the United States” and telling a crowd to give a round of applause to Elvis Presley’s birthday on his death anniversary.
