U.S. First Lady Michelle Obama donated six bulging sacks and two cardboard boxes of toys to the Toys for Tots program on Wednesday, according to the Associated Press.

The gift was more than 500 toys, according to Mrs. Obama's office, AP reported.

Mrs. Obama's gifts included board games, a Barbie Corvette car, Legos, clothes and books that her own daughters Malia and Sasha helped select, her office said according to the agency.

Toys for Tots is an annual program of the U.S. Marine corps Reserve with the purpose of helping needy children.
