First lady Michelle Obama was ready to walk off the stage after being heckled by a gay rights activist at a private fundraiser in Northwest Washington Tuesday evening. This lady seriously doesn’t like her parade to be rained on.

When Ellen Sturtz, an activist with GetEqual, had an impromptu outburst where she demanded the president sign an executive order banning antigay discrimination by federal contractors. The FLOTUS was not pleased, Politico reported. Either she’s just not as practiced handling with hecklers as President Barack Obama or she doesn’t care to deal with them.

According to a pool report cited by the political news site, Sturtz’s interruption took place halfway into Mrs. Obama’s 20-minute speech:

"One of the things that I don't do well is this," Obama said, receiving a loud applause. She left the lectern and went over to the protester, where she reportedly told Sturtz, "Listen to me, or you can take the mic, but I'm leaving. You all decide. You have one choice."

She resumed her speech once the activist was escorted out: "So, let me make the point that I was making before," Obama said. "We are here for our kids. So we must recapture that passion. That same urgency and energy that we felt back in 2008, 2012. Understand this -- this is what I want you all to understand. This is not about us. No one back here. It's not about you or you or your issue or your thing. This is about our children."

The Huffington Post caught up with Sturtz after the event, and she told the news site the first lady threatened to walk out if she continued to be disruptive.

"Basically, I was asked by the first lady to be quiet, and I can't be quiet any longer. ... I was surprised by how negative the crowd seemed to be. It was actually a little unsettling and disturbing," Sturtz said. "She obviously thought she was going to make an example of me or something. I wasn't scared at all."
