The University of Michigan Consumer Confidence index final reading for January was revised higher today to 74.2 from the advanced estimate of 72.7 and the expected 73.3. Nevertheless, the sentiment remains slightly below December's 74.5.

Economic conditions index was revised higher to 81.8 from 79.8, though below December's 85.3. Meanwhile, the economic outlook index was the only that advanced in January compared to January's; the index rose to 69.3 from the advanced estimate of 68.2 and the previous month's 67.5.
