Mickey takes matters into her own hands after becoming concerned of Sabrina’s relationship with her poetry teacher in next week’s installment of “The Mick.”

When Mickey (Kaitlin Olson) seemingly suspects that there’s a romance brewing between Sabrina (Sofia Black-D’Elia) and her poetry teacher Brian Reed (Nate Smith), Mickey attempts to break off the presumed attraction between the two by flirting with Brian.

In the trailer for the Season 2, episode 8, Mickey is seen provocatively whispering in Brian’s ears and inappropriately touching his abdomen in front of his class. But when Sabrina figures out what Mickey is trying to do, the eldest Pemberton kid seemingly finds a way to get closer to her teacher, much to Mickey’s disappointment.

“I don’t mean to be rude,” Sabrina tells her aunt in the trailer after Mickey appears to have called her out for thwarting her plan.

“I [just] can’t picture Mr. Reed slumming it with some leather-skinned drifter,” Sabrina explains, throwing shade at Mickey.

When her plan to seduce Brian doesn’t work out, Mickey reports Brian to Principal Gibbons (Wayne Wilderson) and seemingly makes false claims against him.

Elsewhere in the episode, according to the synopsis for the hour, Chip (Thomas Barbusca) enlists Jimmy’s (Scott MacArthur) help to improve his ranking on the 8th grade hot list.

The episode is directed by Eva Longoria, and even though it’s her first directing gig on “The Mick,” the Golden Globe-nominated actress has directed a number of TV series before. These include Lifetime’s “Devious Maids,” The CW’s “Jane the Virgin,” NBC’s “Telenovela,” and ABC’s “Black-ish.”

“Directing is something that I love to do, and I definitely want to keep directing,” Longoria told Variety in April. “To me, it’s like my second nature. It comes second nature for me. It’s a place where I feel like I can use all of my creative muscles.”

While Longoria is relatively new to directing, the “Desperate Housewives” alum thinks that she’s “really good” at it. “I say this confidently, not arrogantly. I’m a really good director because I’m a woman,” she said during MAKERS Conference in Rancho Palos Verdes, California last February. “[That’s] because directing is about problem-solving and I think woman are the best problem solvers in the world.”

“The Mick” Season 2, episode 8, titled “The Teacher,” airs on Tuesday, Nov. 28 at 9 p.m. EST on Fox.
