Windows Phone 7 (WP7) will get a new Facebook Chat option in the coming months after the Mango update is established by Microsoft, a report by the company revealed.

The update will also see many new features like Windows Live Messenger, AOL Instant Messaging, Office 365 support, group messaging, artist-on lock screen, Wifi hotspot support and visual voicemail. After the Mango update, the platform will be renamed Windows Phone 8 (WP8)

Support for Office 365, which is a cloud controlled Office application, will make the device more user-friendly with more social networking features.

The hotspot, which is already present in Android and other new devices, will provide the opportunity of sharing 3G connection with Wifi-enabled devices.

Microsoft's updated Bing search engine will also come with the Mango update. The upgraded search engine will have several additional features including the Bing Audio which will exhibit the name of the title, artist and other information about the music. It will also present a link to the Zune store, the Windows phone 7 applications market, for buying music, the statement said.

Microsoft, meanwhile, announced its partnership with Nokia to bring in more apps into its range.
