Next month's Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) in Los Angeles may hold a big surprise for users of Microsoft's Xbox One -- and it may take the form of a new controller for the next generation of the game console. The Xbox support page may have leaked a listing of a new Xbox One controller Thursday by mistake, and according to Polygon, the error has already been corrected.

However, before the listing were removed, the source managed to get a snapshot of the information about the new controller and its design. What will be different between the old and upcoming Xbox One controller is the presence of a headphone port at the bottom. This will allow 3.5-mm audio devices to be connected to the new Xbox One controller. This makes perfect sense, considering that the updated Xbox One controller was dubbed to arrive after June. This positions the E3 2015 show as the perfect venue for the official announcement from Microsoft.

At the very least, Microsoft provided another hint that the leaked information is not made up. Next Powerup spotted a tweet from Xbox France that showed a picture of small toy makers tinkering with the Xbox One controller. The caption translates to “Getting ready quietly.” This is good news for players who had been wanting a headset expansion port. It is also a good move for the Xbox One, as the Sony PlayStation 4 already has its own headphone port.

In the meantime, while waiting for more official announcements to drop at E3 2015, Microsoft has already announced the list of games for the Xbox Games with Gold for next month. This follows closely Sony’s own early announcement of the games for the PlayStation platforms.

Four new titles will be free for Xbox platforms, two for the previous console and two for Xbox One. Both Xbox One games will be available from June 1 to 30. Expect “Massive Chalice” from Double Fine Productions, a strategy game that puts players in the shoes of an Immortal Ruler. The other title is “Pool Nation FX.”

Xbox 360 gamers will get the upbeat “Just Cause 2” from June 1 to 15. From June 16 to 30, the 2014 reboot, “Thief,” a more stealth and lurking game, is up for grabs.

While waiting for June to arrive, Major Nelson has also recently announced the Weekly Deals with Gold, set to end June 1. The Xbox One alone has three games up for grabs. There are two editions for “Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare” -- the Digital Pro (33 percent off) and Gold (17 percent off). “Screen Ride” is at 33 percent discount, while “Alien Isolation” is at a 60 percent discount.

The Xbox 360 games are predominantly from the “Call of Duty” franchise. “Modern Warfare” and “Modern Warfare 2” as well as “Call of Duty: World at War” are offered at 50 percent off. Last year’s “Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare” is out at a 33 percent discount.
