Intel is predicting speedy adoption of the upcoming Windows 7 from Microsoft.

The rapid adoption of the new operating system will spread through enterprise according to Sean Maloney, executive vice president and chief sales and marketing officer for Intel at the Intel Technology Summit.

Maloney predicted that Windows 7 would be picked up faster than its predecessors Vista due to its security, power management and compatibility and will serve as a possible technology refresh for companies.

He praised the new operating system and said that it has a lot of good reasons and added that Windows 7 is one big positive.

In 2008, Intel did not internally deploy the Microsoft Windows Vista which raked negative perceptions since its retail launch in January 2007.

Intel is now planning to expedite its adoption of Windows 7 for its employees. General availability of all version of Windows 7 will hit the counter on October 22nd of this year.
