Toyota to mass produce plug-in electric cars by 2012

Toyota Motor Corp. may begin mass production of plug-in electric vehicles in 2012, averaging an output of 20,000 to 30,000 units in the first year, a report from the Nikkei business daily said.

China to build its biggest wind power facility

China will begin construction of a $17.6 billion wind power project in two weeks with an installed production capacity of 20 Gigawatts by 2020, according to a report from the Xinhua news agency. The project is called the Three Gorges Dam on the land.
