A former NHL player and current television analyst for Versus has been charged with assaulting a 12-year old boy.
Mike Milbury, a former Boston Bruin player and New York Islanders general manager, is accused of assaulting a 12-year old hockey player at the Dexter School last week. He's been charged with assault and battery of a child, threat to commit a crime, and disorderly conduct, according to WCVB.
The 59-year old former Bruin is an assistant coach for a Boston-area youth hockey team and the alleged victim is a player on a local opponent.
Neither NBC, which owns Versus, nor Milbury has released a statement on the situation. Milbury has worked at NBC since 2007.
He also appears on NESN, TSN, and CBC for hockey analysis.
