Just when it seemed impossible for Miley Cyrus to outdo herself, she managed it again with her new single “Wrecking Ball,” though many naysayers think she could have done it with more class. Cyrus, still sporting her now-signature platinum pixie cut, gets emotional and swings on a wrecking ball for her new video.

Sure, she could have stayed clothed for the video, but would she still be Miley at this point? The video opens up with a single teardrop falling from the 20-year-old’s beautiful baby blues. The closeup looks like she’s nude, and first-time viewers can already sense they are going to get a different side of Miley.

“We clawed, we chained, our hearts in vain/ We jumped, never asking why/ We kissed, I fell under your spell/ A love no one could deny,” Cyrus sings. It seems undeniable that she’s singing about on-again, off-again fiancé and “Hunger Games” star Liam Hemsworth. Another line that could be directed at him is, "I put you high up in the sky and now, you're not coming down." They started dating in 2009, before most people had even heard of the book "Hunger Games" and three years before it was released in theaters.

The camera finally pans away from her face when she sings, “Don't you ever say I just walked away/ I will always want you” and shows Cyrus holding a sledgehammer, dressed in all white with brown work boots.

“I can't live a lie, running for my life,” she says. “I will always want you.”

Cyrus’ nudity and sexuality in the video seems to be a blatant metaphor for her baring her emotions on the song. She’s truly showing a different side of herself to her fans and the world. Not to mention, if she is singing about her fiancé, she’s giving him quite the message:

“I came in like a wrecking ball/ I never hit so hard in love/ All I wanted was to break your walls/ All you ever did was wreck me/ Yeah you, you wreck me,” she belts at the chorus.

Cyrus’ Terry Richardson-directed video has already more than 3 million views on YouTube since it was uploaded on Monday. Part of what is making the song such a hit, other than the fact that she’s completely nude and straddling a wrecking ball at some points, is a few lines that thousands of people are probably about to identify with.

“I never meant to start a war/ I just wanted you to let me in/ And instead of using force/ I guess I should've let you win.”

It sounds like Cyrus is feeling some regret. Who can’t identify with that?
